SEOUL, 10 SEPTEMBER 2026 — The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in the Republic of Korea provided protocol and logistical assistance to the official delegation of Timor-Leste upon its departure from Incheon International Airport for Dili, following the successful conclusion of its official study visit to the Republic of Korea.
Representing the Embassy, Third Secretary Mr. António da Cruz Santa, accompanied by Labour Attaché Mr. Feliciano Mendonça, provided protocol assistance to His Excellency Mr. Domingos Lemos and members of the delegation from the State Secretariat for Secondary Education and Technical Schools during their departure at Incheon International Airport.
The delegation was in the Republic of Korea from 7 to 10 September 2026 to participate in a Study Visit to Korea, aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and providing opportunities to learn from relevant Korean practices and experiences in the fields of secondary education and technical and vocational education.
Throughout the visit, the Embassy of Timor-Leste in the Republic of Korea supported the delegation in coordination with the relevant Korean counterparts and stakeholders, including through protocol coordination and other necessary logistical arrangements. The Embassy’s assistance formed part of its ongoing efforts to facilitate official visits and strengthen bilateral engagement between the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and the Republic of Korea.
The Study Visit provided an important opportunity for the Timor-Leste delegation to engage with relevant Korean institutions, exchange perspectives, and gain practical insights into Korea’s experience in education, skills development, and technical and vocational training. Such exchanges contribute to the continued strengthening of institutional capacity and the promotion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
The Embassy of Timor-Leste in the Republic of Korea expresses its appreciation to the relevant Korean authorities and institutions for their cooperation and support throughout the delegation’s programme and departure arrangements.
The Embassy further reaffirms its commitment to supporting official delegations from Timor-Leste and to facilitating continued people-to-people, institutional, and bilateral cooperation between Timor-Leste and the Republic of Korea.
The delegation subsequently departed Incheon International Airport for Dili on 10 September 2026, bringing the official Study Visit to Korea to a successful conclusion.

방한 기간 동안 주한 동티모르 대사관은 의전 협의와 필요한 제반 행정 및 물류 지원을 포함하여 한국 유관 기관 및 관계자들과의 긴밀한 조율을 통해 대표단을 전담 지원하였습니다. 대사관의 이러한 지원은 정부 공식 방한을 원활히 조율하고 동티모르민주공화국과 대한민국 간의 양자 교류를 강화하기 위한 지속적인 노력의 일환입니다.
이번 연수 방문은 동티모르 대표단이 한국의 주요 기관들과 교류하며 정책적 시각을 공유하고, 교육, 기술 개발, 직업훈련 분야에서 한국이 축적한 실질적 경험을 학습하는 뜻깊은 기회가 되었습니다. 이러한 교류는 양국 간 공동 관심 분야에서의 협력 증진과 제도적 역량 강화에 크게 기여하고 있습니다.
주한 동티모르 대사관은 대표단의 연수 일정과 출국 절차 전반에 걸쳐 긴밀한 협력과 지원을 아끼지 않은 대한민국 정부 당국과 관계 기관에 깊은 감사의 뜻을 표합니다.
아울러 대사관은 앞으로도 동티모르 공식 대표단을 적극 지원하며, 동티모르와 대한민국 간의 인적, 제도적, 양자적 협력을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 것을 재확인합니다.
대표단은 2026년 9월 10일 인천국제공항을 통해 딜리로 출국하였으며, 이로써 공식 한국 연수 방문 일정을 성공적으로 마무리하였습니다.
