안토니우 베네비드스(António Benevides) 주한 티모르-레스테 대사는 2026년 8월 24일 서울 소재 티모르-레스테 대사관에서 반다 세케이라(Vanda Sequeira) 주한 포르투갈 대사의 예방을 받았다.
The meeting provided a cordial occasion for the two Ambassadors to exchange views on bilateral relations, areas of mutual interest, and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between Timor-Leste and Portugal.

The two Ambassadors also discussed cooperation between Timor-Leste and Portugal within the framework of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), exchanging views on its importance as a platform for strengthening solidarity, cooperation, and coordination among Portuguese-speaking countries, and for promoting their common interests at the international level.
Os dois Embaixadores abordaram ainda a cooperação entre Timor-Leste e Portugal no âmbito da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP), trocando impressões sobre a importância desta organização como plataforma de solidariedade, cooperação e coordenação entre os Estados-Membros de língua portuguesa, bem como de promoção dos seus interesses comuns no plano internacional.

Ambassador Benevides and Ambassador Sequeira reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close communication and working together to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, including through the CPLP framework.
