SEOUL, AUGUST 5, 2026 — THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT (SEFOPE), H.E. ROGÉRIO ARAÚJO MENDONÇA, L.ED, TOGETHER WITH MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL PARLIAMENT THROUGH COMMITTEE D, LED BY H.E. DEPUTY RICARDO BAPTISTA, ATTENDED HOLY MASS CELEBRATED AT THE APOSTOLIC NUNCIATURE IN SEOUL.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by His Excellency Archbishop Geovanni Gaspari, Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Korea. In his homily, Archbishop Gaspari offered prayers and blessings for all Timorese faithful, particularly for Timorese citizens living and working in Korea. He also encouraged Timorese workers to make time to attend Holy Mass whenever their work schedules allow.

The event further reflects the strong relationship between the Catholic Church and the Timorese community abroad, and stands as an important moment for the official Timor-Leste delegation to pray together and offer spiritual support to Timorese migrant workers living and working in the Republic of Korea.

Following the conclusion of the Holy Mass, the delegation's representative, Deputy Antonino Bianco, expressed words of gratitude to the celebrant priest and the Sisters for allowing time to celebrate this Mass together with the Timor-Leste delegation during their working visit to Korea.
